Enough Post Modernism Already
Creative Review commissioned me to write an opinion piece about illustration trends for its July 2014 Trends Issue. In the piece I outline the proliferation of post-modern influences (shown here is one of four Adidas Memphis Group x Adidas Originals ZX “post modern” sneaker designs), whilst commenting on the rise of painterly, jazzy abstraction, pattern-based illustration and an increasing interest in character-based narrative illustration.
