Down with pants
In 2015, badge fanatics Stereohype invited me to submit a 25mm button badge design for the 15th iteration of its annual B.I.O. (By Invitation Only) series of badges-by-designers.
The design I created references an old 1960s slogan badge that gets a mention in the introduction of my book, Badge, Button, Pin (Laurence King, 2007). I set the type on a white protest sign graphic against a sky blue background. You can buy one of the badges direct from Stereohype’s site, here, for £1.50.
In January 2017, Tomi at Stereohype got in touch to tell me that the badge was one of several Stereohype designs that would soon be stocked in the shop of The Saatchi Gallery in London.
And in March 2018, Stereohype added my Down With Pants artwork to their Button Badge Motif Prints series of art prints – meaning you can now buy a super high quality 8" x 10" (203mm x 254mm) archival Giclée print of it on Hahnemühle 310gsm acid-free paper for £25. More info here.
